Bio

Vanessa Sandre is filmmaker and performer originally from Brazil and based in Toronto, Canada. Vanessa has a Bachelor in Film and a Master in Literature focused on Feminism and Gender Studies. She is an equity, inclusion & diversity enthusiast and as a Latina immigrant and artist she advocates for decolonial and intersectional feminist perspectives in her work and life.

In film Vanessa has built a career as a writer, director and producer for the last 14 years. She has an extensive knowledge of film production from concept to distribution, including narrative and non-fiction films.
